A life-long cyclist, Jim has cycling experience as a commuter, tourist, racer, mechanic, pedicab-driver, messenger, advocate, and instructor. Other work experience includes twelve years in restaurants, both cooking and serving; and stints in business forms design and sales, construction, retail sales, and environmental advocacy. He was a founding member of the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op (where he is now Executive Director) and the local advocacy organization Bike Cleveland, served as an elected Director of the League of American Bicyclists from 2006 to 2009, and has been a certified League Cycling Instructor since 2004.
