I originally started out as an enthusiastic home mechanic and avid cyclist because becoming helping run the Oasis Bike Workshop in Nashville, TN. The Oasis Bike Workshop runs earn-a-bike programs year round for youth in the Nashville area. We see ~120 students/year and the program is completely free of charge for our students. In addition to running youth earn-a-bike programs, we also run paid adult earn-a-bike programs, as well as weekly open workshops where we welcome anyone from the community to drop on by and wrench around on their bikes.

Older, lugged steel bikes are my jam; particularly touring bikes. Some may say I'm a bit of a retrogrouch ... and they'd be right. Old SunTour component and shellacked bars made almost any old steel bike look classy.
